What's the texture like? I'm imagining them like red dried apricots, with a savory, sun-filled flavor, but I doubt they'd have enough natural sugars to maintain the soft, almost jammy bite.
I can also picture them packaged like fancy chocolates. 😁 Wrinkly and ruby red tomatoes half-dipped in a soy sauce-based glaze (for double the umami and bringing complexity to the the classic salt-sprinkled summer tomatoes), and lying in a nice box, each ensconced in tissue paper.
